Somehow between my senior year of college and the time I got married I lost my cooking skills! Bad timing right?
I moved home with my parents for a year and they did the cooking… mostly because they didn’t trust me to cook…
Well, I guess the other side of the truth is that my mom was/is always scared I’m going to serve her ground turkey… What’s wrong with ground turkey? I love it! and it’s better for you… You just gotta know how to cook it!
I learned from the best… Rachael Ray… SHE’S LIKE THE TURKEY BURGER QUEEN! She says to always cut up a veggie (onion and/or bell pepper is what I use a lot) to cook with the turkey… it helps keep it moist! Maybe I lost all my cooking skills because I’ve run out of time to watch Rachael… hmmm maybe I should invest in a TiVo…
Anyways, moving on… my Mema has been a collector of cookbooks…
Oneday, I was at her house making ham delights for her to take to church (those poor people… I’m jk… they tasted pretty good!) and that was the day I inherited some of her collection…
This is one I received:
Apparently she thought this was perfect for me… boy was she right!
Who knew?! You can cook an entire meal in the microwave… and it doesn’t have to be a Lean Cuisine!
Did you know you can cook… fried chicken in the microwave!?… Or I think… it’s a hen in this case? But whatever it is… it looks fried!
(We do love our fried chicken here in the South.)
Or even… BBQ ribs??

Ribs? in the microwave? If you say so!
They even have recipes for baking in the microwave! But at the same time… how do you do that without setting the microwave on fire??
Maybe I’ll have to give this microwave thing a try… I’ll experiment and let you know
Are you an experienced microwave cooker or baker? If so let me know!
