Stay tuned!

The past couple of nights I’ve been working on two crafts that I would like to share with you! I finished one tonight and will share tomorrow!

Hint as to what it is:

  • You can use it EVERYDAY.
  • Your furniture will thank you for it… and if you are a male reading this… your wife and/or mother will thank you for using it!
  • You can make this with children of all ages! (and you don’t have to be artistically talented to make it!)
  • They make great gifts! (Yea… I know I’m late… Christmas was last month. Oh well!)

What do you think it is? Leave a comment and let me know! :-)

Stay tuned!

Le Stache... what do you think it is?

Every woman needs one!

Every woman needs one of these:

I have one and love it! It sits on top of my stove at all times.

They serve multiple purposes… cooking… decor that makes it look like you cook a lot… hitting your husband with it when he’s annoying… Prime example:

Me: “Do you have your wallet?”

Husband (AKA Smart Butt): “No honey, I was planning on using the bartering system.

“Me”(now slightly frustrated): “Well, do you have the keys?”

Husband (sitting in car): “Nope, I was gonna roll it.”

He seems to think this is funny… I just wish he was in throwing range in the kitchen…:-)

It’s all over…

It’s all over… I feel like it’s such a let down… but at the same time a relief.  We had a great New Years Eve with some friends. Even though the Gamecocks lost… I’m still a proud fan! We had a great year!

New Years dinner is one of my all time favorites! I love fried pork chops and collards! I guess I’m just a southern girl :-)

I couldn't wait... I had to take a bite! homemade biscuits, blackeyed peas, collards with my grandma's homemade chow chow, hoppin john, fried pork chop, and sweet potato casserole... YUM!

After eating a whole bunch a great food, we went to a friend’s house to play Catan. We started doing a board game night and this has been our main game.

Jess and I  had our doubts about this game. We thought it would be a guy game and we would just get bored… we were wrong.  Have you ever played this game? It is crazy! They have all kinds of expansion packs to make the game bigger and harder. It has taken us about 4 months just to learn the basic game.  It’s all about strategy.  Four people can play the basic and then when you expand the board you can go up to six or eight. Last night we tried our first expansion… it took 4 hours to play! We decided we would not be playing the expansion anytime soon on a work night. I would recommend this game for mid to late teens.

It sounds dorky… but… it has really been a lot of fun to start a board game night. You should try it! :-)

Do you guys have any game suggestions for board game night?

Now that all of the holidays are over and all of the Christmas decorations are down… the house feels kind of depressing. Even Gilly was depressed. (Mainly because he doesn’t have a tree to climb lol)

But, I did buy some supplies today to work on a craft and we started getting the house organized! woohoo!  Maybe I’ll get my sewing room cleared out! The Carolina Cup is right around the corner! I  have to get my room ready to make a dress or pair of pants (I think I”m wearing pants again this year. It was way more comfy and warm.)
